About Me

I was born in Watford in 1961 & have been researching my family history for many years. My dad Peter Simmons was also born & bought up in Watford from 1925, sadly he died in 1991. My Grandad- pictured as my profile was Fred Simmons son of James Simmonds.

James brother Thomas J Simmons owned Brightwells Farm for a time, where the 2 brothers & their families lived. There is also family history with the pair of them with Cole Kings Cottage to.Thomas J son Thomas Herbert Simmons became Mayor of Watford.

My own immediate family is made up of 4 children, & 4 grandchildren the youngest being Freddie named after his Great Grandad Fred.

I've grown up listening to 'Watford stories' and feel a great connection with the Tring are inparticular despite not visiting for many, many years.  There seems to be alot of family connection with alot of publicised information, something that makes me very proud.
